We had a warm and lovely meeting with The Brazz Brothers at Victoria last year, so it is with great pleasure that we can welcome them back! Here awaits an evening of delightful music and warm humor from a band that truly knows how to engage.
The Brazz Brothers are an institution in Norwegian cultural life. Over 42 years of continuous operation, the ensemble has performed over 5000 concerts and toured in 34 countries. The ensemble has played at the largest music and jazz festivals in Europe and the USA and has been soloists and led concerts with around 20 professional symphony orchestras in Europe. The ensemble has also been very active on the African continent with over 200 concerts in Tanzania, Mozambique, and South Africa. The band is also known for its educational activities; there are hardly any brass players in Norway and Scandinavia who have not participated in one of The Brazz Brothers' ear training seminars.
It is through the joy of music that The Brazz Brothers have created their own musical style and genre. Unique interplay, improvisation, and originality surround a repertoire of the musicians' own compositions and arrangements. Several of the compositions have become internationally known and are played by other ensembles and orchestras around the world. The Brazz Brothers have released 25 albums that have received great recognition both among the audience and the press. The ensemble has also received several awards and nominations, including six nominations for the Spellemann Prize.
The band shines with song, humor, and playfulness; this Saturday, a party awaits from Langevåg, Sula!
