The style of Odeon can best be described as New Orleans and Latin American chamber music, drawing inspiration from the New Orleans revival jazz of the 1940s and 1950s, represented by musicians such as George Lewis and Bunk Johnson.
The quintet's repertoire reflects a wide range of melodies; ballads, standards, hymns, and not least choros and creole waltzes from Panama, Venezuela, and Brazil, with composers like Ernesto Nazaret, Lionel Belasco, Luiz Americano, and Ernesto Lecuona.
