Types of passes

You can buy the Oslo Pass for 24, 48 or 72 hours, for children, adults or seniors. You can buy more than one pass on the same phone.

You may purchase several Oslo Passes on the same device, either for several people, or to use on different days. If you choose to have more than one person's Oslo Pass on a single device, all of the users must stay together to travel and to visit attractions. If you purchase more than one Oslo Pass to use on different days, make sure that you don't activate them all at once.

The tickets need to be scanned at the entrance of each museum and upon ticket inspections aboard public transport. Please note that a screenshot of the QR code is not valid as an Oslo Pass: If you only present a screenshot, you run the risk of getting fined on public transport and denied access to the pass offerings.

Offline use

Your device must be connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi upon purchase and upon activation of the pass.

Your device does not need to be connected upon each use.

NB: Your device must be connected to the internet once every morning before using the pass to ensure that the control code for the transport ticket is updated.

The information and instructions in the app are in English.

Price and payment

Downloading the app is free, you don't pay anything until you buy an Oslo Pass.

You pay with Maestro, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Visa or Mastercard by entering card details. There is a discounted price for children (under 16) and seniors (67+): See Oslo Pass prices. Please note that it is not possible to purchase the Oslo Pass with a student discount in the app.

Time of purchase vs time of activation

You can buy the pass in advance, and activate it after arriving in Oslo.

That means you don't have to activate the pass until the first time you want to use it, e.g. to enter a bus or a museum. The app will then start a countdown from 24/48/72 hours, so you can always see how much longer your pass is valid.

Pass transfer

You can transfer a pass from one device to another. Just click on Transfer pass under the pass you want to transfer and follow the instructions.
