Next to the waterfall on the Akerselva river lies Hønse-Lovisa’s house. The house was built as the home for the of chief operator of the adjacent sawmill in the beginning of the 19th century and is now part of the Labour Museum. Its café is operated by Anne på landet.
Here, you can enjoy waffles, chicken soup, cinnamon buns and many other treats. The ingredients are locally sourced, and all dishes are made by hand. The café also serves wine and beer and seats 30 indoors at the fireplace as well as on the porch next to the Akerselva river.
