When Fat Horses performed at Bluegrass Night's Open Stage in May, they impressed greatly with beautiful harmonies and interplay. We are therefore very proud to have booked them for Bluegrass Night in August!
Fat Horses is a relatively new bluegrass trio with banjo, mandolin, guitar, and vocals, but the musicians behind it have extensive experience from a wide range of genres and musical expressions.
Now Karoline Regine Kaarbø Asskildt, Stina Kjelstad, and Ofelia Østrem Ossum have come together in a style that has long fascinated them: bluegrass. During the fall of 2026, the trio will also go into the studio.
Inspired by artists such as Hazel Dickens, Alice Gerrard, and Linda Ronstadt, Fat Horses writes their own songs with intricate harmonies and a raw yet refined expression.
