Ruter As operates public transportation in Oslo and parts of Akershus. At Ruter, you can purchasetickets for buses, trams, the metro, ferries (except the Bygdøy ferry), and local trains.
You can buy tickets in the Ruter app, at a kiosk, or at Ruter’s customer service centers and ticket counters. See the list of sales locationshere.
If you buy your ticket on board a boat, bus, or local train, you’ll have to pay a surcharge. For the metro and tram, you must always buy your ticket in advance or pay with a transit card at the validation machines on board.
