The Torshov Theatre is located in the Soria Moria building in Oslo’s Torshov neighbourhood and have since 1977 been an arena for artistic experimentation and daring stage productions. Here you’ll get intimate theatre experiences where the audience gets to experience the National Theatre’s actors up close.
The stage is round and can seat 174 audience members, which provides you with a unique closeness to what is happening on stage. Many of the National Theatre’s most renowned actors have held artistic leadership here for two-year periods, and the performances are characterised by their quality and challenging performances.
