Manor House in the Botanical Garden with a rich history dating back hundreds of years. The main wing is probably the oldest wooden building in greater Oslo.
In the Middle Ages the estate belonged to the Nonneseter Convent before Chancellor Jens Bjelke was granted Tøyen as a peerage estate around 1640.
Today the east wing of the manor house hosts temporary exhibitions, and the west wing has a café open all year.
The rest of the building is used for representation by the University of Oslo and as office space for the Natural History Museum.
