Steinbruvann lake

Steinbruvann is 900 metres long and 24 metres deep. It has a small sandy beach, several lovely swimming spots around the lake, and a few bathing jetties. At the dam on the southern end, a ladder has been installed to make it easy to get in and out of the water.

Along the southern and western shores, there are several officially approved fire pits that can be used all-year round.

In winter, a skating trail and a separate track for other users is prepared and can be used as long as the ice is safe. The path on the eastern side of the lake is popular all year and is usually well-trodden even through the winter. If you continue a bit further, you’ll reach a third lake, Stokkevann.

Important to remember:

It is not permitted to use disposable barbecues or to light fires outside the officially approved fire sites in the forest. Do not bring barbecues onto the bathing jetties – they damage the structures and pose a fire hazard.
