Climate House

Touch a volcanic bomb or stand in the middle of a tropical storm. Take a peak at a world three degrees Celcius hotter, and find strenght to participate in the effort to combat climate change. In the Climate House, you get up to date information about the climate and climate change, presented in a way that makes the visit an experience for all ages.


 

Through innovative and interactive installations, you can explore how the earth's climate system works, and how it is influenced by global warming. Learn about the difference between natural climate change and climate changecause by humans, and you will get to see possible future outcomes. The exhibition also explores possible solutions, and teaches you how you can contribute.



The Climate House organises events for the whole family throughout the year. The event room Amfiet is used as a meeting space for conversations about climate change and environmental subject matters.



The Climate House is a part of the Natural History Museum at Tøyen, and is the first exhibition space in the Nordic Countries with a Climate Change theme. It opened in June 2020.
