Kistefos is a unique cultural destination with its signature building The Twist, one of Europe’s most important sculpture parks, changing exhibitions and a rich industrial history.
The sculpture park includes more than 50 statues by notable contemporary artists, among them Yayoi Kusama, Fernando Botero, Claes Olenburg, Tony Cragg, Olafur Eliasson and Anish Kapoor. Every year, Kistefos sets up new exhibitions in its two galleries The Twist and Nybruket.
The Twist is a gallery, a bridge and a sculpture at the same time. The building has received various awards and nominations for its spectacular design.
Kistefos is built on the grounds of an old wool pulp mill. Its industrial history is still present in the park and can be experienced first-hand in the living factory.
Kistefos also has a café, a museum shop and a climbing park for children.
