One of Norway's best-known sports arenas and the host of the annual Oslo Bislett Games international athletics event.
The outdoor track is open to the public when it is not being used for training and competitions, and the stadium's indoor running track is open to the public all year.
More than 50 athletics world records and 18 speedskating world records have been set at Bislett, which was named by Sports Illustrated as the world's fifth most important sports arena of the 20th century.
The current Bislett Stadium opened in 2005, and is in the same place and same distinct architectural style as the old stadium, which was demolished in 2004. In addition to athletics the stadium is used for football (soccer), concerts and other events.
