Akershus Fortress Visitors Centre

Visitors centre with historical information about Akershus Fortress and personal tips about what to see and do.



The visitors centre is located in the red building by Karpedammen pond in the middle of the fortress grounds, and the Akershus Fortress Trail map is available there in English and Norwegian.


 

The visitor centre offers guided tours of the fortress


 

Akershus Fortress through 700 years

Guided walk in English through Akershus Fortress where you will learn about the construction of Akershus, daily life at the fortress, royal tributes and sieges throughout the fortress' first 700 years.


 

Saturday & Sunday:

11pm and 2pm in English

1pm and 3pm in Norwegian



Note: The guided tours are not included in the Oslo Pass.
