The Phantoms – Ska with drive, soul, and the pulse of Oslo! Herr Nilsen, Saturday, September 12th at 9:00 PM
A big band on a small stage! When The Phantoms take the stage at Herr Nilsen, they bring driving rhythms, powerful brass, harmonized vocals, and musical twists that make the whole body tingle. This eight-member ska machine draws inspiration from the legendary Jamaican band The Skatalites – delivering ska in its most original and life-affirming form.
On stage, they are a whirlwind of ideas, energy, and raw musicianship. From swing and blues to reggae and roots – everything is wrapped up in a tight, pulsating soundscape filled with deep vocals and infectious harmonies.
The Phantoms were formed in 1996 and have been deeply rooted in Oslo's inner east for over 25 years. Through six albums and hundreds of concerts, they have built a solid catalog – and a reputation as a band with real substance. They call themselves “The Messengers” – carriers of stories from the city's shadow side, filtered through the rhythmic universe of ska.
Ready to feel it in your bones? Join us as The Phantoms fill Herr Nilsen with drive, drive, and more drive – this evening will be anything but ordinary.
