What is your favourite neighbourhood?

– I love walking around in both Vålerenga and Kampen, which are both in the eastern part of Oslo. You can walk around and feel the pleasant atmosphere from the old working-class wooden houses at Vålerenga – many of which, by the way, are protected. Fun fact: you can even get a nice view of the Oslo Fjord from the park surrounding Vålerenga church.

– At Kampen you can walk around and enjoy small charming cafés (with yummy sweet buns), and there is even a farm in the middle of the city where you can go see the animals!

Where do you go for live music?

– My favourite place to both play and enjoy live music is Parkteatret – an intimate, yet large venue with great sound. You can catch upcoming musicians as well as famous stars here. Another great concert venue is Blå, which is definitely worth visiting – whether there is a concert on or not.

Where is the best place to go for a walk?

– My favourite trail follows the Alnaelva river and its beautiful surroundings, down towards Svartdalsparken. Svartdalsparken is actually a primeval forest in the middle of a city! The forest is very old, and I love the sound of the lively river and the trains passing by, as well as the combination of old forest and the urban vibes along the trail.

Where do you get the best view?

– Not many people know this, but from Alnaelva you can walk up the stairs – 126, I counted – and get a magnificent view of the whole city! And that's all for free!
