Sigvart Dagsland - There is power in the folded hands
One evening - the entire album It has been 30 years since my hymn album "There is power in the folded hands" was released.
At that time, I was completely unprepared for the reception from the audience, which was simply overwhelming. One might think that it was churchgoers who bought the album and attended the concerts, but it reached a much broader audience. I don't quite know why. But I felt that there was a power in these old songs, a power that did not leave me unaffected. And now I haven't played them for a long time. And never before have we performed the entire album. But we are going to change that this year: On the autumn church tour, we will simply play the entire album. Live. In addition, we will play some of the most hymn-like of my own, as well as one or two tracks from the "Hymns" album. This will be a one-time event, and it will be great!
With me, I have three fantastic musicians: Torjus Vierli on piano, David Wallumrød on Hammond organ, and Espen Tappel on guitars.
