Fjord CleanUP

Every week, all through the year, Fjord CleanUP gathers volunteers to clean marine waste from the Oslofjord

They free-dive, kayak, SUP and walk to pick trash from the waterfront, in the water, and underwater. The cleanups are the core foundation of what Fjord CleanUP do as an organisation.

However, they also work on collaborations with scientists and researchers interested in the marine environment, entrepreneurs developing automated cleaning solutions and/or trash scanning technology, on projects growing seaweed and placing artificial reefs, and other events or projects related to making the oceans cleaner and healthier.

All through winter and summer they host weekly sunday CleanUPs for their members along the inner city waterfront. After cleaning they warm up with a free sauna at the Oslo Fjord Sauna or Mad Goats Sauna, and fill up with gifted burgers from Døgnvill Burger.

Every Monday between May and September they meet at 5pm in Tjuvholmen or Bjørvika for public CleanUPs. Divers, paddlers and walkers collect all the trash they find. All you need to do is register for an event – open to all, and no membership or previous experience needed!

“Enough talk, lets clean!”
