Oscarsborg Hotel & Resort

Oscarsborg Hotel & Resort is the hotel for you if you are fascinated by history, are looking for unique experiences and to spend time by the fjord.

On the island, you will find galleries, museums, restaurants, a guest harbour, a beach, hiking trails and historical memorials. All throughout the year, concerts and cultural events take place here.

The hotel can accommodate about 220 people in 89 rooms of different sizes, many of them with a fjord view and all of them with free Wi-Fi.

To reach Oscarsborg, you will need to take the ferry from Drøbak. Reaching Drøbak from Oslo can be done on the ferry from Aker Brygge, from the bus at the Bus Terminal or by car.

At Oscarsborg, you can organise everything from intimate dinners to big banquets in several suitable restaurants and function rooms.

I the main restaurant Forpleiningen, you are served breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the summer season, there is a la carte dining in the restaurant and on the terrace, overlooking the sea.

The main fort contains several private function rooms. It also has its own bar with two adjoining salons, as well as the dignified Ordresalen with its historic flag from 9 April 1940, when the german heavy cruiser Blücher was sunk. This room is used for apéritifs, dancing and weddings.

Oscarsborg's own wedding coordinator can help you plan a unique wedding ceremony and reception at the fortress.

For Christmas parties, Oscarsborg offers three-course dinners, buffets and an atmospheric torchlight parade.

Oscarsborg is a member of De Historiske, an organisation that includes some of the most charming hotels and restaurants in Norway.
